Air Compressor 101: What is the proper tank size?

The exact tank size you will need depends on the amount of CF that you need, at a given PSI, for a given amount of time. The benefit of a larger storage tank is that the air compressors will not need to start and stop as often as a smaller tank, savings on energy consumption and unnecessary wear and tear on your compressor. However, a larger tank comes with a higher price tag, and a longer pump up time.
